About this tour

Kremna is located in a picturesque valley between Tara and Zlatibor on the northern slope of Mount Šargan. From Šargan, you can see Zlatibor, Mokra Gora, Kusturica’s Village, and even the heritage train crossing the Šargan pass.

The village of Kremna is best known for the prophecy attributed to the Tarabić brothers (Miloš and Mitar), who lived here in the 19th century. They were considered seers, and their most famous predictions include the liberation of Serbia from the Ottoman rule, two world wars, and the invention of the television and mobile phone. This area is believed to possess special properties, with the soil containing the rare mineral selenium. There is even a theory that the valley was formed by a meteorite impact, which allegedly influenced the "prophetic" gift of the locals.

What does this mean? It means that in a single weekend in Kremna, you can see all of this—and perhaps even the future)))! However, it depends on your skills, confidence behind the handlebars, and endurance.

In any case, you are guaranteed not to be short on views and impressions. I will lead you not only through postcard-perfect spots, but also along trails hidden from ordinary tourists. We will climb peaks not listed in guidebooks and visit remote hamlets with stunning views.

On this tour, 99% of the routes are off-road. These are dirt roads, forest paths, mountain streams, hilltops offering incredibly beautiful views, authentic hamlets, as well as old railway tunnels and bridges left from the narrow-gauge line that existed here 100 years ago. The Šargan Eight heritage train currently runs along part of this railway.

Depending on the group’s level, I can adjust the difficulty of the routes from intermediate to advanced. These routes are not suitable for beginners. A good, confident level of bike handling is required! This doesn’t mean you need to know how to bunny hop, wheelie, or jump ramps) No, it’s enough that you aren't afraid of descending rocky slopes, that standing on the pedals feels natural, and that you have the basic endurance to tackle long dirt climbs while balancing at low speeds.

Even though we will be riding e-MTBs, we will still need physical effort. After all, the elevation gain averages between 1,000 and 1,500 meters, and we are far from riding on smooth pavement.

If mud, puddles, streams, bumps, ravines, hills, and various other obstacles in your path thrill you, light up your eyes, and raise your heart rate—this is the place for you) It is not an extreme tour, but you should be prepared for challenges.
